Types of Metals

The foundation of your jewellery. Each metal tells a different story.

Gold

Classic and versatile, gold comes in yellow, white, and rose tones. Vintage gold jewellery often has a rich, warm depth that modern pieces can’t quite match.

Silver

Timeless and understated, silver is a beautiful, everyday choice. It naturally develops a patina over time, adding to its character.

Platinum

Strong and luxurious, platinum is durable and naturally hypoallergenic.

Other Metals

Many vintage pieces feature unique alloys and finishes, from gold-plated designs to mixed metals that create one-of-a-kind textures.

Caring for Your Metals

  • Silver can tarnish—gently polish with a soft cloth to restore its shine or use silver polishing products.

  • Gold and platinum are more resistant but benefit from regular cleaning with warm, soapy water. A gold polishing cloth can work wonders too.

  • Store jewellery in a dry place to prevent oxidation and tarnishing.
